BASIC MUSIC THEORY
Basically , In Music there are 12 notes which are A , A# , B , C , C# , D , D# , E , F , F# , G , G# .They are also called as SA , RE , GA , MA , PA , DHA , NI , SA ...in Hindi.
All the songs are sung in one of these scales i.e. notes...So, How a scale is formed ?
So a scale is basically nothing but a group of 12 notes....Let us take an example..
There are 2 types of scales...Major scale and Minor scale.....
Major Scale : To find a major scale , a formula is used ...The formula is given as follows :
SHIFT-SHIFT-HALF_SHIFT-SHIFT-SHIFT-SHIFT-HALF_SHIFT
Now lets find out the scale of C major
C D E F G A B C
When we move from C to D its a shift and when we move from C to C# its a half shift....So this is how scales are formed.
Similarly, There is a formula to find minor scales also...The formula is given as follows:
SHIFT-HALF_SHIFT-SHIFT-SHIFT-HALF_SHIFT-SHIFT_SHIFT..
In this way you can find out all the scales of these 12 notes.
